This summer, the Johnstown Cheer Program returned to an overnight cheer camp for the first time since 2019, attending AmeriCheer Camp at Ohio Northern University. Our athletes shined all weekend, earning 3rd place for their Band Dance, the Most Improved Award, and the Most Traditional Award for our Home Fight Song. Six of our girls were recognized as All American Cheerleaders, and the team proudly brought home a coveted Spirit Stick for their energy, sportsmanship, and teamwork.

Shortly after camp, our squad took on another exciting first — competing at the Ohio State Fair. None of these athletes had ever experienced this event before, and they made the most of it, earning 2nd place for their Game Day routine. We are also so proud of our two cheerleaders who stepped out on their own to compete in the Solo Game Day division, representing Johnstown with skill, confidence, and school spirit.
